Review #205: Part4 Illegal Aliens- Aoléon The Martian Girl by Brent LeVasseur

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“There are places on planet earth, where common sense doesn't apply.”

----Toba Beta, an Indonesian author

Brent LeVasseur, an American science fiction author, pens his very fist children's science fiction series, Aoléon The Martian Girl, and the fourth book, in the series, Illegal Aliens- Aoléon The Martian Girl, which follows the adventures of a regular middle-grade farm boy with a Martian girl and some Martian robots and aliens to stop the Martian invasion on Earth that takes them to the new and extremely dangerous level of journey.

Synopsis:

Aoléon and Gilbert have become the Luminon’s top priority in stopping the Martian resistance movement, and after being chased by the Royal Paladin Guard, they are forced to flee the Martian Megalopolis. Aoléon, Gilbert and Zoot escape with the help of Bizwat and his newly found friend, Helios, a first generation soldierbot.

After their saucer is destroyed, they crash land somewhere in the deep Martian desert, and they set out to locate Kyrios and the secret base where Aoléon’s parents are being held captive.

After battling the forces of nature, starvation, a Klyklon dust storm, (and not to mention a giant slor that almost swallows them alive), they finally make it to their destination. However, after Kyrios gives Gilbert some basic training to develop his budding psionic power, they learn that their journey is far from over.

Will Aoléon, Gilbert, Bizwat, Helios, and Zoot be able to rescue Aoléon’s parents and stop the Martian invasion of Earth in time?

Gilbert and Aoléon, along with Bizwat, flee the Martian Megalopolis to stop the Martian invasion on Earth and to find where Aoléon's parents are held captive. Together they embark yet onto another adrenaline-rushing journey where politics and friendships are the strongest theme in this book.

Once again, I fell in love with the bright and eye-popping colors that immediately allured me and captivated me to the story. The portrayal of those scenes where Gilbert and Aoléon are in pursuit are vividly depicted and with the help of this vividity, I felt more connected to the story. The author have once again outdone himself in respect of the mind-blowing illustrations and with his imaginative skill.

The writing is absolutely fantastic and evocative with articulate narrative style. The pacing is good as the book proves to be an action-packed one. The characters are pretty matured compared from the previous books. And in this book too the cast of characters is diverse and that gives a fascinating feel to the book thus every other character is bound to leave an appealing impact upon our minds.

Verdict: Do read this enchanting and thrilling adventure series that will keep you on your edges till the very end.
